Sense Cues
Kits
The Sense Cues Kit © was developed to help people generalize already-learned
behaviors when they are not consciously aware of the need to use them. For
example, a person who can speak slowly when told to, can learn to slow down when
not consciously thinking about it.
The Sense Cues Kit © was developed by Katie Schwartz, CCC-SLP. It is based on
the concept that one of the five senses is more dominant than others in an
individual. Through a process of determining the dominant sense,
work-appropriate cues can be used temporarily to encourage a learner to use the
newly-learned behavior.
The Sense Cues Kit © are available for purchase from Interactive
Therapeutics, Inc., at www.interactivetherapy.com.
